1973 - 1976 Academic period Paris
After arrival in Paris in 1973, Sen was working as a sweeper at Atelier Gourdon and at the same time studying in Ecole des Beaux Arts and ESAG (École Supérieure d’Arts graphiques Penninghen formerly known as Académie Julian), Paris. He was hugely influenced by European art. In particular, the art of a mixture of immigrant European artists who came to France and contributed to create modern French art inspired him to change his whole colour palette. In spite of being in a very difficult livelihood condition, Sen says Parisian life brought him an outstanding perspective of light and colour.
